On October, 15 the Rosselkhoznadzor held negotiations with the New Zealand delegation that arrived in Russia to familiarize with the domestic system of veterinary surveillance and visit establishments producing animal products.
The representatives of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance had visited New Zealand earlier in March. The New Zealand colleagues made a return working visit to Russia which started on October 15.
The representatives of the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) were the part of the delegation arrived.
Apart from the Rosselkhoznadzor and MPI officials, the representatives of the New Zealand Embassy in Russia and the Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate establishments – FGBI “VGNKI” and FGBI “ARRIAH” took part in the negotiations.
The program of the visit of the New Zealand delegation was provided at the meeting. The MPI representatives will visit the Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” (FGBI “ARRIAH”) and will familiarize with the work of the state border checkpoint of the Russian Federation based on the example of the Bolshoy Port of St.-Petersburg. Besides, they will familiarize with the system of veterinary control of the Russian establishments for animal product (dairy, meat and fish products) manufacture and farms supplying raw materials to these companies.
The final meeting of the MPI and Rosselkhoznadzor representatives will be held on October, 23.
