On October 31, the meeting of the representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor and General Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China devoted to the completion of the working visit of the Chinese delegation to Russia took place in Moscow.
During 11 days the Chinese specialists visited wheat and barley growing and storage facilities and establishments for manufacture of soybeans, rapeseed, sunflower oil-meal and press cake interested in export to PRC. As a part of ongoing inspection, the delegation accompanied by the Rosselkhoznadzor officials visited the Irkutsk, Rostov, Saratov, Penza, Kaliningrad, Samara Oblasts and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Besides grain growing facilities, 12 establishments and loading platforms, the Chinese specialists got familiarized with the work of the Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate FGBI “ Rostov Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor” and the Rostov branch FGBI "Center for Grain Quality Assessment".
During the negotiations the Chinese party thanked the Rosselkhoznadzor for the organization of inspection and eventful programme and said that they highly assessed the qualification of the laboratory specialists engaged in quality and safety assurance of grain and products thereof. Besides, the delegation was impressed by production capacity of grain producing establishments.
In return the Rosselkhoznadzor thanked the Chinese auditors for their work and said that Russia is very interested in extension of the list of regions authorized for export of wheat and barley to China, as well as in increase of exports of other types of grain and products thereof to the Chinese market.
The Rosselkhoznadzor stated that Russia is exporting grain to more than 130 countries worldwide. According to the data of the previous year 61,7 million tons of grain and products thereof were exported to the external markets. In addition the products intended for export are subjected to thorough treatment in accordance with the requirements of the importing country and undergo official control at the growing, transportation and shipment stages.
A follow-up report will be prepared by the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China. The Rosselkhoznadzor will shortly send all necessary information requested during the inspection to the Chinese authority.
