Rosselkhoznadzor Held Talks with National Service for Animal Health and Food Safety (SENASAG) of Bolivia
On August 7, the Rosselkhoznadzor held talks with the National Service for Animal Health and Food Safety (SENASAG) of the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands of Bolivia in a video conference format. The parties discussed the Rosselkhoznadzor’s report on the inspection of the Bolivian beef producing establishments held in February this year. In addition, the parties reviewed the comments made by the Rosselkhoznadzor based on the data submitted by the SENASAG in support of the correction of non-compliances detected at the establishments.
The Russian party informed that it expects full package of data on measures taken for the correction of the non-compliances to be submitted by the colleagues. This package should in particular include data on the improvement of the production control programs being implemented at the Bolivian establishments.
In view of the fact that one establishment was entitled to export beef to the EAEU in late July, the SENASAG representatives informed that according to the EAEU legal requirements the full scope of laboratory tests will be performed in the accredited laboratory located in Chili. The Bolivian colleagues promised to submit to the Rosselkhoznadzor the complete information of this institution and the first test results of the products.
The Russian party was also interested in the opportunity of the Bolivian experts to visit Russia for the inspection of the animal product manufacturing establishments interested in their product exports. The official invitation had been sent before. SENASAG representatives mentioned that they are interested in such visit. The working visit can take place next year.
