The teleconference regarding supplies of grain and products thereof from Russia to China was held on November 20.
The Rosselkhoznadzor representatives asked the Chinese party to set the time period within which they are to prepare and send to the Russian competent authority a report on inspection of sites for cultivation and storage of wheat, barley and soybean, rapeseed, sunflower meal and presscake. This regards the visit of the Chinese delegation to Russia which took place at the end of October this year. During the visit the inspectors visited the Rosselkhoznadzor-subordinate laboratories, grain growing areas and 12 dispatch areas in the Irkutsk, Rostov, Saratov, Penza, Kaliningrad, Samara Oblasts and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The representatives of the General Administration of Customs said that the follow-up report will be sent next week along with a list of additional questions.
After that the Chinese party will review the Rosselkhoznadzor-updated list of 37 Russian producers of meal and cake, inspected by the Russian competent authority and recommended for export to China, as they meet all Chinese requirements.
In addition, the parties discussed amendments to models of phytosanitary certificates, that will accompany consignments of beet pulp, meal and cake exported to China. The final version, taking into account the proposals of the Chinese side, will be sent by the Rosselkhoznadzor to the General Administration of Customs for approval in the near future.
The parties noted the constructiveness of the negotiations and expressed hope for the development of trade cooperation.
