African Swine Fever

Pigs started to die on one of the private pig farms of the Krylovskiy Rayon of the Krasnodarskiy Krai, the analyses of the pathological material taken from dead animals showed the presence of African swine fever virus.

Due to the information announced by the UN news service about concern of the FAO regarding outbreaks of African swine fever in Russia, the Rosselkhoznadzor declares that the information about the outbreak in Baltiysk is false and incorrect. African swine fever has never been detected in Baltiysk or in the territory of the Kaliningradskaya Oblast, where it is situated.
