The European Commission stated that Poland notified the European Commission of detection of two more cases of animal death from African swine fever (ASF) in the vicinity of the site near the border with Belarus, where two animals died of the same disease had been previously discovered. The European Commission suggested the new cases of boars’ death from ASF to be related to transboundary migration of animals. Herewith, the European Commission does not consider implementation of additional disease control measures necessary as the dead boars were found in the infected zone. In this respect the Rosselkhoznadzor considers it relevant to remind that the European Commission repeatedly stated that ASF situation is under full control in Poland and new disease cases are not expected.
